The transfer period is in full swing. Manchester United wants to recruit Raphaël Varane but for an amount that does not reflect the Frenchman’s rating on the transfer window.
Once Jadon Sancho’s transfer is finalized with Borussia Dortmund, Manchester will look into Raphaël Varane’s case. The French defender who refused Real Madrid contract extensions is expected to leave the Spanish capital to join the Red Devils. Only, in this affair, the Mancuniens are in lack of time and money. On the one hand, Sancho’s imminent transfer is expected to cost them € 85million excluding bonuses. On the other hand, Paris-Saint-Germain is a serious candidate to recover Raphaël Varane.
Varane twice cheaper?
According to the Transfermarkt site, the international tricolor is estimated at 70 million euros in the transfer market. According to information from the English media The Sun, Manchester United could not make an offer of more than 45million to the White House for Varane. A cheap price to say the least which could dissuade the merengues from letting their central defender leave has that there is still a year of contract left.
