Raphael Varane comes one year from the end of his contract with the real Madrid. The tricolor central defender wants to extend his contract with the club merengue, but not at any price.
Real Madrid: Raphaël Varane wants to extend, but …
Apart from the file Sergio ramos, PSG is monitoring with particular attention the situation of Raphael Varane at Real Madrid. The French international is coming to the end of his contract with the Madrid club next season. If there is no shortage of courtiers, the central defender has expressed his wish to extend the adventure in the Spanish capital, a good omen for Florentino Pérez.
Except that the requirements of the 2018 world champion are not yet compatible with the expectations of his management. According to information from the Spanish media Ok Diario, Raphael Varane would simply claim the same salary as that of David Alaba, estimated at around 10 million euros per year, to extend his contract in Madrid. The coach Carlo Ancelotti also reportedly asked Florentino Pérez to do what is necessary to retain the Frenchman.
Real Madrid: Varane’s future closely linked to that of Ramos?
Before the Italian coach asked for this effort, Real Madrid management was already working on this file. Raphaël Varane, who would receive around 5.8 M € per year, has reasons to ask for more money after ten years of good and loyal service within the Madrid team. Real Madrid are ready to make an economic effort to hold him back, but one condition has been established: that Sergio ramos do not follow.
According to the Spanish media, Real Madrid only want to extend one of their two central defenders, which would explain why negotiations with the Spanish defender are still at a standstill. Long accomplices in central hinge at Real Madrid, Sergio ramos and Raphael Varane could therefore no longer play together from next season.
Ramos has not yet extended his lease expiring on June 30, but is strongly expected to join PSG for free. In case of departure, the Madrid captain would free up a place in favor of David Alaba, but also money for the possible extension of Varane.
