Juventus Turin has communicated the presence of two positive cases for the coronavirus in its workforce.
The Piedmont club indicates that the Turkish central defender Merih Demiral tested positive for the disease during the gathering of the Turkish selection. The 23-year-old footballer had to forfeit all three of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against the Netherlands (4-2), Norway (3-0) and Latvia (3-3).
Leonardo Bonucci has also tested positive for COVID-19. The Italian central defender returned from the rally of the Nazionale, with which the 33-year-old had taken part in the first two meetings against Northern Ireland (2-0) and Bulgaria (2-0), before stay on the bench Wednesday night in Lithuania (2-0).
Placed in isolation at their home, the two players will not be able to participate in the Piedmont derby against Torino, this Saturday, counting for the 29th day of Serie A.
