FC Barcelona no longer knows how to go about saving the furniture and extending Lionel Messi. Management is looking for all possible solutions.
Lionel Messi is no longer a FC Barcelona player. Since the effective end of his contract on July 1, the Argentine is free as the air. But faced with the budgetary rigor imposed by La Liga, things got very complicated and all solutions are now considered.

Since Javier Tebas and the Spanish League have set a salary cap, Barça must reduce the sails to try to re-sign Messi. And the management is ready for anything. Even sacred cows no longer seem immune. As reported AS, Jordi Alba for example was placed on the transfer list, even if the player categorically refuses to leave the club. Yes Gerard Pique has agreed with Laporta for a salary cut, Sergio Busquets and Sergi Roberto have not given their agreement.
Sell or stop contracts
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona leaders are also ready to stop certain contracts, such as that of Samuel Umtiti, or that of Miralem Pjanic. It is absolutely necessary to find money or, failing that, Joan Laporta who also hopes that Philippe Coutinho will find a way out quickly. Barcelona are ready to make any sacrifice to keep Lionel Messi in their midst, but the more the days go by the more the panic and the tension become palpable. Laporta continues to assert that “ the situation is progressing“. For now, nothing indicates that it is in the right direction.
