Manchester advantage. In its last weekly newsletter, CIES established the top 10 most expensive membership in Europe. And in the first two places, we find… the two clubs of Manchester, City and United, whose teams were respectively valued at 1.28 billion and 1.21 billion!

Another Premier League club, Chelsea, completes the podium with a workforce of 946 million euros. Just behind, a surprise: FC Barcelona! Thanks to its talented young players, the Catalan club (€ 896m) is ahead of Bayern Munich (5th, € 890m), Liverpool (6th, € 868m) and Real Madrid (7th, € 846m).
Mbappé loses value, PSG too
Paris Saint-Germain, however on the podium of this same classification a month ago, only arrives in eighth position. A place which is explained by the drop in the market value of Kylian Mbappé, at the end of the contract next June and estimated between 90 and 120 million euros.
Not to miss
Neymar and Lionel Messi are valued between… 50 and 70 million euros on the transfer market according to the CIES. And to complete the top 10, we find Borussia Dortmund with a workforce valued at 687 million euros, and Atlético de Madrid (662 M €).
Monaco, second French club
At the level of French clubs, Monaco (335 M €) is the second French formation behind PSG. LOSC (€ 298m), Olympique Lyonnais (€ 292m) and Stade Rennais (€ 283m) follow. Olympique de Marseille is much lower in the rankings, with an estimated workforce of 182 million euros.
