RB Leipzig management is reportedly considering the possibility of selling Marcel Sabitzer during the next summer transfer window.
The German club would like to take advantage of the Austrian midfielder’s contractual situation to think about his transfer in the offseason, according to information from Sky Germany. The lease of the 27-year-old footballer ending in June 2022, a departure in the coming months would allow the team coached by Julian Nagelsmann to recover a good sum of money, knowing that the specialized site Transfermarkt assesses its value at 42 million euros.
The Premier League would be his preferred destination. According to the newspaper Bild, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham would eye the captain of RB Leipzig, recruited in the summer of 2014 by the club which plays at the Red Bull Arena for only 2 million euros. Since the start of the 2020-2021 season, Marcel Sabitzer has taken part in 37 matches in all competitions with the current runner-up in the Bundesliga (7 goals), eliminated by Liverpool in the round of 16 of the Champions League. In the league, the number 7 has played 21 games and found the net 6 times.
