Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel was presented with the Premier League best manager of the month trophy for March.
The German technician was acclaimed thanks to two successes in three days obtained against Liverpool (1-0) and Everton (2-0). The former Paris Saint-Germain coach was preferred over Graham Potter (Brighton and Hove Albion), Brendan Rodgers (Leicester City) and Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer (Manchester United). He succeeds Josep Guardiola (Manchester City), best coach in January and February.
Fourth in the standings with a two-point lead over fifth West Ham United, the Blues are battling for a ticket to the next Champions League. This Saturday, the London club welcomes West Bromwich Albion as part of the 30th day.
The trophy for the best player of March went to Kelechi Iheanacho, the Nigerian striker from Leicester City.
