The Olympique de Marseille winger would benefit from a proposal from the Premier League.
Florian Thauvin will soon be free from any commitment, as his contract with Olympique de Marseille expires in just two months. Curiously, the international tricolor is not as in demand as during the previous summer transfer window. However, it still benefits from a few touches and in particular in England. According to The Sun, Crystal Palace is studying the possibility of signing him.
Thauvin’s salary is a problem
After having interested Leicester City, the world champion is therefore in the sights of the Eagles, 13th in the Premier League standings currently. They see him as an alternative to Ismaila Sarr, the Watford member. However, the Marseillais’ emoluments pose a problem. Londoners are very reluctant to pay him € 5m per year.
As a reminder, another Marseille resident visited Selhust Park a few years ago, in the person of Steve Mandanda. And it was not a great success. He left after a year and after playing very little.
