Sevilla ready to sacrifice a player for Thauvin?

Sevilla FC would consider transferring Papu Gomez (33 years old) to finance the arrival of Florian Thauvin (28 years old).

According to information provided by the site Calciomercato, the Spanish club is looking for solutions to finance the salary of the OM player. He would think of separating from the Argentinian Papu Gomez to save his emoluments and reinvest them in the Frenchman’s contract.

Tuttosport specifies for its part that AC Milan has not completely abandoned the track of Marseille. The arrival of the latter would nevertheless be complicated, because he expects a remuneration of between 4 and 4.5 million euros net per season, while his agents want large commissions when he comes to the end of his contract. Discussions with the Lombard leaders would thus be blocked. The Milanese would think about alternatives (Riccardo Osolini from Bologna and Jonathan Ikoné from Lille).

As a reminder, OM has not yet given up on the idea of extending it. However, his proposal also seems very far from the requirements of the player.
