Despite the plethora of recruitment made by Pablo Longoria this summer, Jorge Sampaoli still wants to recruit from OM. A world champion is in his sights.
THE’Olympic Marseille has changed a lot this summer. Under the leadership of Pablo Longoria, the Marseille club has strengthened by attracting players such as Mattéo Guendouzi, Luan Peres or Pau Lopez, not to mention the sale or loans made at the same time. However, the OM coach still wants new recruits. Or at least one leading from the side of AS Rome.
As relates Futbol Frances, Marseille is interested in Steven Nzonzi. The 2018 world champion is still Romain, but is not part of José Mourinho’s plans. The media recalls that OM already had an eye on the file during the last transfer window and hadn’t gone far to try his luck. Finally remained silent, the Marseille club continues to monitor the player’s situation.
Without sufficient funds to afford it, Marseille could however take advantage of a possible sale of Duje Caleta-Car during the next winter transfer window, to offer Steven Nzonzi to return to Ligue 1, a few months after his departure from Stade Rennais.
