Raphaël Varane’s future is more blurry than ever. The French international is at the end of his contract in June 2022 with Real Madrid. A situation that does not satisfy the Madrid leaders who want to extend their taulier in central defense but the French has, so far, refused all approaches from Real Madrid.
In search of express liquidity, Real Madrid should separate this summer from Raphaël Varane. Information revealed by the Spanish press AS which indicates that the central defender has refused all extension offers made by Madrid leaders. During the first attempts at negotiation, the Frenchman’s agents did not respond to Madrid’s proposals. They later did so, asking for a substantial pay rise that did not meet Florentino Perez’s expectations.
Raphaël Varane’s current contract ends in just over a year and Real Madrid know this is the last chance to get a nice sum from his protégé. Estimated at 70 million euros, its sale would alleviate the Madrid accounts, very affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
