Despite their 1-0 defeat at the Parc des Princes, PSG qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League.
They held on! Winners 3-2 in the first leg, the Parisians lost 1-0 at the Parc but this is more than enough to compost the ticket for the quarter-finals.
A few months after its defeat in the Champions League final, PSG took revenge and offered a third semi-final in the premier UEFA event and its second in a row (1995, 2020 and therefore 2021) . PSG will face Manchester City or Borussia Dortmund there.
A Neuer of great evenings
And as on the outward journey, the first half started at 200 miles an hour. From the 3rd minute, Mbappé got the first opportunity but his shot did not find the frame. Six minutes later, Mbappé served Neymar whose shot was repelled by Neuer.
It was not until the 26th minute to see the first big alert on the Parisian goals: Sané, unattacked, wound up a strike that narrowly missed the goals of Navas who seemed beaten. A minute later, Bayern did it again: this time, it was Kimmich who failed to frame.
On the counter-attack, Mbappé tumbled to his side and ideally served Neymar but the Brazilian lost his duel against Neuer, decidedly much more formidable than in the first leg.
In the 31st minute, the assistant referee indicated, wrongly, an offside position of Mbappé while the latter sped alone on goal, angering the Parisian camp. Three minutes later, PSG got another clear opportunity: Neymar played with Lucas Hernandez, and lit Neuer at point blank range who deflected the ball on his post.
The Brazilian, in great shape, tried his luck again in the 37th minute. But alas, his shot failed on the crossbar. And it’s as if Neymar was cursed since he found the post, two minutes later …
And football being cruel, Bayern opened the scoring forty seconds later! With of course, a goal of Choupo-Moting which dominated in the Presnel Kimpembe areas.
Navas then prevented Bayern from returning to the locker room with a bigger advantage by interposing brilliantly on shots from Alaba (44th) then Leroy Sané (45 + 2nd).
An unbreathable end to the game
In the second half, the pace was less intense but Neymar continued to be cursed like this action where he threw himself in front of goal without managing to push the ball into the net on a caviar from Di Maria (53rd).
PSG then lost Diallo to injury and Bakke entered the game (58th). To revitalize his attack, Pochettino then replaced the ghostly Draxler with Kean (73rd). PSG found color with Kean (shot off target, 77th) then a goal from Mbappé refused for an offside position (78th).

It was then Leroy Sané who sent a huge thrill through the Parisian ranks by infiltrating the surface and then seeing his shot flee the frame (81st).
The end of the match was unbreathable with another miraculous rescue from Neuer who cut off a brilliant pass from Mbappé for Neymar (89th) then imitated by Navas on a cross from Sané (90 + 2nd). The referee then whistled the end of the match and delivered the PSG players who could savor this immense feat.
