The president of PSG would like us to leave Neymar alone and would have let Barça know.
The latest episode of the soap opera Neymar took a new turn after Catalunya Ràdio reported that Paris Saint-Germain had been in contact with Barca to demand that the Brazilian be left in peace and not disturbed by the rumors of Joan Laporta’s interest in the player with a view to reuniting him with Leo Messi at Camp Nou. Nasser Al-Khelaifi himself would have spread the message.
Nasser angry with Laporta
However, according to Catalunya Ràdio, that won’t deter Barcelona from suing their former player, who moved to Parc des Princes in 2018 in a record-breaking € 222million contract. Laporta sees Neymar’s signing as the cornerstone of his economic, sporting and marketing plan given that money is scarce at Camp Nou this summer and the Brazilian, who although he has recently suggested he would be happy to stay in Paris, will probably not be opposed to the idea of a return. Given that the player is 29 years old, Barca will expect to pay less than half of the sum invested by PSG for the Brazilian in 2017 (€ 222m).
