Leicester City announced on Saturday the extension of the contract of Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
Initially under contract until June 2022, the 24-year-old center forward signed a lease for two more years in favor of the English club, ie until June 2024. Recruited during the summer of 2017 for the sum of 27, 7 million euros, the former Manchester City footballer has since played 117 matches in all competitions with the Foxes of Brendan Rodgers, for 32 goals. Since the start of the 2020-2021 season, the number 14 has participated in 28 games and found the net 12 times, for 16 Premier League matches and 6 goals. He was named the Premier League’s best player of the month for March.
