Mbappé compares the World Cup to the Champions League

Kylian Mbappé, 22, won the 2018 World Cup with France, for his first participation in the international competition. However, he never gleaned the C1, after playing a final in his career (2019-2020 season, against Bayern Munich).

“The Champions League has a very important place. The World Cup, winning it early, is something you don’t necessarily realize. Maybe if I have the chance to win one at 30, it will be stronger in emotions and symbolism than the one I won. For me, it was my first (World Cup), you win, OK let’s go, it’s won, OK we can go home. I didn’t suffer to win it, I came, I won it right away. The Champions League is something else because I have known stages where we have lost, suffered, it is something else. If we win it (the C1), it will be something else, if I win it, there will be emotion, even if the World Cup is the absolute holy grail. But the Champions League, for me, in a club, is what is done best ” said Kylian Mbappé in a long interview for RMC.

Next Wednesday, at 9 p.m., Kylian Mbappé’s PSG will travel to Germany to face Bayern Munich in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League.
