Not satisfied with his fate, the player ousted by Barça would consider taking the case to court.
Matheus Fernandes plans to sue FC Barcelona for unfair dismissal, after the official announcement of the termination of the Brazilian midfielder’s contract at the end of June. Barcelona spent seven million euros to sign Matheus when Eric Abidal was the club’s sporting director, but the player has never been officially introduced by the Blaugrana.
Matheus is angry
When Barca announced his signing, the news raised eyebrows in Brazil, where many analysts felt the player was not on Barcelona’s level. According to Radio Barcelona, Matheus is not happy with the Catalan club’s decision to terminate his contract and is said to be ready to take the case to the judges.
