According to the British press, Manchester United would like to replace David De Gea and have targeted the name of one of the best current goalkeepers.
David De Gea’s 2020-21 season is to be forgotten. The current Manchester United goalkeeper did not shine, like his failure in the Europa League final, during the penalty shootout. Aware of the poor form of the Spanish goalkeeper, Manchester United would like to strike a big blow and recruit one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
Manchester must sell De Gea first
According to information from Sun, the Red Devils would have checked the name of Jan Oblak (28). The Atlético Madrid goalkeeper and barely Spanish Champion impresses in the Colchoneros’ cages. Madrid leaders are said to ask for a price of 75 million euros for their Slovenian international goalkeeper.
Only downside, David De Gea remains under contract until 2023 with Manchester United and has an annual salary of around 20 million euros. The Mancunian club will therefore have to sell the 30-year-old goalkeeper before hoping to recruit Jan Oblak this summer.
