French international defender Lucas Hernandez could soon find himself behind bars.
Lucas Hernandez was taken into custody in Madrid for domestic violence four years ago. The French international then escaped prison and got away with 31 days of community service. But, it seems that he has just been caught by this case because he disobeyed the order of the judge by not respecting an order of removal to his companion. The daily website AS claims that the court in the Spanish capital has ordered that the accused be jailed, until his appeal is approved or not.
Hernandez expected in Madrid on October 19
Hernandez is due to appear in court on October 19. He will have to wait for the verdict concerning him while being deprived of his liberty. Currently, he is in Germany as he plays for Bayern Munich. However, it seems obvious that he cannot shirk his responsibility. and is required to return to Madrid to deal with his legal concerns, or else be considered a fugitive.
As a reminder, Hernandez is not the only world champion to be faced with problems of this type. This is also the case with Benjamin Mendy. The latter has been in prison in Manchester City for two months.
