Kylian Mbappé has not yet resumed training with his PSG team. His presence against City on Tuesday remains uncertain.
48 hours before the return match against Manchester City in the semi-final of the Champions League, PSG has still not registered the return of Kylian Mbappé to training. The France international has been at a standstill since he sustained a calf injury midweek.
Mbappé’s absence from Camp des Loges could also be explained by a precautionary measure. Mauricio Pochettino may not have wanted to take any risks with his star striker. The hypothesis of a ruse on the part of the Parisian staff to muddy the waters cannot be ruled out either.
Mbappé will travel to Manchester
Mbappé is also one of the players summoned for the trip to England, according to information from L’Equipe. He will therefore present himself at the airport on Monday morning. It remains to be seen whether it will be operational during the last session before the match. This will give a clear indication as to whether or not he is at the Etihad Stadium.
As a reminder, without its world champion, PSG took over RC Lens on Saturday (2-1). Mbappé had made the trip to the Park to support his teammates.
The only notable absence already certain for the shock of Tuesday is that of Idrissa Gueye, suspended. Like Juan Bernat, still in the recovery phase, the Senegalese is therefore not in the group called to cross the Channel.
In Manchester, Paris will have a goal to recover after its defeat (1-2) at the Park last Wednesday. A complicated task and which will be even more so in the event of Mbappé’s package.
