Released by Bayern Munich, the experienced Jérome Boateng has just offered his services to Manchester United.
Free from any commitment, Boateng wants to sign for Manchester United this summer, according to Italian site Calciomercato.
Boateng wants to return to Manchester
The 32-year-old is said to be “very disappointed” not to have found a club after the end of his deal with Bayern Munich. Juventus, AC Milan, Lazio, Napoli and Roma are all said to be interested in the possibility of signing him, but Boateng only has eyes for the Red Devils. His first stint in the city in the north-west of England (at City in 2010-2011) marked him and he would like to return.
The German defender knows MU is looking for another reinforcement in defense despite his deal with former Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane. This is why, through his representative, he has established a bond with his leaders. An approach that would have given nothing, however. According to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Mancunian board targets elements with a completely different profile, and especially less aged.
