Faced with the blur surrounding the future of Inter Milan, Hakimi could set sail in the Premier League. But it will be necessary to pay the price.
Achraf Hakimi is causing a lot of talk in the transfer market next summer. The right-back is announced in the small papers of Arsenal and Chelsea but the agent of the defender of Inter Milan says that no decision has yet been considered.
The 22-year-old has exploded in plain sight after his two good seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund and has continued to impress since arriving at San Siro in the summer of 2020 from Real Madrid.
A return to the Santiago Bernabeu has also been hinted at, with Inter’s financial woes forcing them to consider sales, but the Milanese are focused on the present and the Serie A title race in which Inter are launched with the neighbor of AC Milan and Juventus Turin.
Hakimi’s representative, Alejandro Camano, gave an update on his client’s future at Calciomercato.
“Today he is very happy to play for such an important club. I don’t know what the future holds, but I say today that Hakimi is happy and that his team is Inter.”
“The goal is to win the Scudetto. After that, the situation for Inter at club level is complicated, but I repeat: we are very happy here in terms of football.”
“He has a five-year contract, we signed because we were so confident in the Inter project. We’ll see what happens in the future, but it’s a very important step in his career.”
“We certainly don’t intend to leave the team in such a delicate situation.”
The Moroccan international saw his odds soar after spending two seasons on loan with the Bundesliga and Dortmund.
He made 73 appearances for BVB, with 12 goals and 17 assists, which propelled him to one of the best right-backs on the planet.
His arrival at Inter Milan has not changed his production since he is enjoying himself under the orders of Antonio Conte with six goals and five assists.
If his odds are high, his contract until 2025 may make negotiations complicated and if some Premier League clubs want it, it will have to pay a price.Last summer, Hakimi left Real Madrid against 45million euros and its value has not fallen since.
Giving up that deal after 12 months would come as a surprise, especially as Inter have worked so hard to achieve a long-standing goal.
“The player himself made the decision to go to Inter. Two or three years ago Piero Ausilio told us about the opportunity to bring him to Milan.”
“After his time at Borussia Dortmund, that interest was renewed and Hakimi decided to come to Inter.”
