The Gabonese striker of the Greens returned to a press conference on his less successful performances with AS Saint-Etienne this season, before the L1 match against Nîmes, tomorrow Sunday, at 5:05 p.m.
“I know I’m less efficient, but I work for the collective. I also play in different positions, I am aware of my performance. If I had confidence in myself, and that I had set the goals that I missed, that would have done me good, to me and to the collective. I know it’s a less good season, we’re learning, but I’m there for the collective even when I’m less efficient. (…) I read the reviews on the networks. It’s part of football, I learn and I continue. It touches me but it also motivates me, I want to prove that I can be more efficient “ announced Denis Bouanga.
Very efficient last season (12 goals and 5 assists in 36 games), the 26-year-old is less this season (5 goals and 3 assists in 29 L1 games). Denis Bouanga is linked with AS Saint-Etienne, 16th in L1, until 2023. According to him, he will continue at the club next year.
