Toni Kroos close to international retirement
Germany signed a short success (0-1) in Romania on Sunday. The meeting counted for the second day of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. Against the Romanians, the Germans signed their second victory in as many outings in these qualifications. The men of Joachim loew went to wrest this success without Toni Kroos. The Real Madrid midfielder suffers from muscle problems and has not been selected for the meeting. On the sidelines of this poster, Bild released a huge confidence about the future of the mid-31. According to the German publication, the Real player will retire internationally this year.
A last coronation before hanging up?
According to the same source, Toni Kroos intends to stop with the Mannschaft after the Euro scheduled for this summer. With Neuer manual (35 years old), he is one of the 2014 world champions still called up by the German national coach. The Madrid midfielder began his international career in March 2010. Today, he has 101 caps and 17 goals with Germany. He has played three World Cups (2010, 2014 and 2018) and two Euros (2012 and 2016). The next European football championship would therefore be its last international competition. The former Bavarian would no doubt want to hang up by gleaning a continental title with his selection. He will then be able to focus on his club with which he is still under contract until 2023.
