The clubs of OM and Flamengo are currently blocking their negotiations regarding the transfer of Gerson.
The arrival this summer of the Brazilian Gerson at the Olympique de Marseille seemed to be assured but this is not at all the case. There are many discussions that have been initiated with Flamengo, the club where the player plays, but the gap between supply and demand remains too great to hope for an imminent outcome.
Flamengo too greedy for Gerson?
According to the revelations made by Goal Brazil, OM would have recently proposed 25M € for Gerson. A nice jackpot but one that did not waver the Brazilian officials. The latter ask for 35M € for their member, plus a percentage on a possible resale. Flamengo is therefore in no hurry to sell, convinced that time is on its side. With the transfer window looming, Carioca officials expect to receive other proposals for their talented attacking midfielder.
There was therefore no agreement found, but the talks have not broken off. They should resume next Sunday after the championship final. For his part, Gerson observes the situation from afar. However, he does not intend to sit idly by. In order to put pressure on his management and encourage him to give in, he plans to ask for a clear salary increase. Case to follow.
