New twist in the Gareth Bale affair which involves Tottenham and above all, Real Madrid.
Freed from the grip of Zinedine Zidane who had grieved him at Real Madrid by placarding him severely, Gareth Bale is having an interesting season for Tottenham. Still under contract with Real Madrid where he receives a gargantuan salary of 17 million euros (the biggest of the club merengue currently), Bale could finally stay one more year in London according to the revelations of the Daily Mail.
What if Bale stayed at Tottenham?
The English publication explains that Tottenham negotiated last summer with Real Madrid, a priority option to extend Gareth Bale’s loan for another year. This option is of course dependent on the agreement of the player, whose lease with the Merengues expires in 2022. As a reminder, the Spurs are still looking for their new manager for next season, Ryan Mason taking over the interim for the time being. It remains to be seen what the future coach of the Lily Whites will have to say on this file
