Although under contract until 2022, Christophe Galtier does not intend to resume his role as Lille coach.
The story between Christophe Galtier and LOSC is well and truly over. The French champion technician is still awaiting his release letter to be able to engage with OGC Nice. However, the northern club and its president Olivier Létang are slow to offer it to him. The latter still believes he can keep his trainer based on the latter’s contract which runs until 2022.. Nevertheless, “Gallette” has no intention of retracing his steps from what reveals The team in today’s edition.

To enroll Galtier, the OGCN must pay 10M € as transfer compensation. But, it is an amount that the Azureans are not really willing to spend. Hence the impasse. The former coach of ASSE thought he could leave without constraint in view of the services he rendered to the Mastiffs. Obviously, the Lille management does not agree. The relationship between the two parties even begins to seriously deteriorate. Létang criticizing Galtier for not having warned him of his departure until the last moment, while the coach says he touched him a word in February.
