Spanish defender Pol Lirola is determined to continue his career at the Vélodrome.
Loaned last January by Fiorentina to OM, Pol Lirola is expected to return to Tuscany at the end of the current season. But, that is not his intention at all. Having adapted perfectly to the Olympian training and also to life in the Marseille city, the Spanish side has no desire to move. Miquel, his father, confirmed it in an interview published in Provence : “Pol only thinks of one thing, that the clubs agree on the transfer and that he can continue at the Olympic. He has other options but he only wants to hear about OM, he doesn’t want to come back to Fiorentina ”.
OM must make a financial effort for Lirola
Lirola, who has scored 2 goals and 2 assists in 18 league games, is not the only one deciding, however. There will be no final transfer if the two clubs cannot agree on a price. It is even said that the Viola, who will be coached by Gennaro Gattuso during the next exercise, will only release him if they find a replacement in their post. Which is far from being done. Let us note all the same that Marseille has a purchase option for this element which is of the order of 12M €.
