Phil Foden challenged Kylian Mbappé on social networks, before removing it in the process.
After Manchester City booked their place in the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night, Phil Foden took advantage of his Twiter account to send a message to Kylian Mbappe ahead of the match between the Sky Blues and Paris Saint-Germain.

Pep Guardiola’s side beat Borussia Dortmund 4-2 on aggregate and advanced to the next round of the competition with a 2-1 victory in Germany.
“Are you ready?” Foden asked in a tweet, in which he tagged Mbappe. Although the post was quickly removed, it went viral on social media, with reports in England pointing out that the post was posted by a social media company that managed Foden’s account.
For the moment, Mbappé has not responded to Foden’s challenge, the Manchester City midfielder was reportedly frustrated with the whole incident, as reported by The Athletic’s Sam Lee.
“Foden did not post this tweet on Mbappé himself, it was done by the company that manages his account. People close to Foden are not particularly satisfied and it has been deleted, ”reveals this journalist.
According to the Daily Mail, the Foden clan would like to end their collaboration with the communications company that wrote this tweet.
Against Dortmund, like eight days ago, when he scored City’s winning goal in the final minutes (2-1), it was Foden who dampened Borussia’s hopes.
While the Borussens were hoping to snatch the extension, at 1-1, the 20-year-old Englishman came to shower the hopes of the German team with an overpowering strike fifteen minutes from the end of the match (75th). On a corner taken by De Bruyne, Foden was served at the entrance to the area of Dortmund before achieving a sublime sequence.
