A venerable Blues alumnus covets Thomas Tuchel’s job at Chelsea.
Frank Lampard, former player emeritus of Chelsea, had not managed a very good passage with the Blues despite a gargantuan transfer window. The former midfielder was replaced by Thomas Tuchel at the start of the year and since then everything the German coach touches has turned to gold. The Blues are also in the final of the Champions League, where they will challenge Manchester City for the supreme title on May 29.
John Terry wants Tuchel’s job
This does not prevent some from coveting the post of German technician. “My ambition is very, very clear. There is one end goal for me and that is to lead Chelsea. My team will win – I hope – in a very honest, very organized, very well trained and very well prepared manner. I watch Lamps (Frank Lampard) and Stevie (Steven Gerrard) and the success they both had. Lamps in his first season at Chelsea, and what Stevie did at Rangers is incredible. I was probably not ready to take on this role at the time. I am now.
