Ronald Koeman and Barca are aiming for a mysterious striker to bolster the attacking ranks this summer.
Summer is still far away, but Barcelona, under their new presidency, are in the process of shortlisting potential candidates for a summer arrival, and ex-Sevilla striker Andre Silva is one of them.
Currently with Eintracht Frankfurt, the Portuguese striker has been impressive with the Bundesliga club, scoring 21 goals in 24 games this season.
He was also flawless on loan with Sevilla, and his La Liga experience makes him an interesting proposition for the Blaugrana.
Bild report that Barcelona are keeping a close watch on the striker, although it would be a complicated deal given the club’s current financial difficulties.
Moreover, Ronald Koeman’s top priority for the front row is Memphis Depay, who is available on a free transfer this summer with his contract at Lyon coming to an end.
As a reminder and according to Sport, Barça would have found an agreement with Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum for next season. Anything but a surprise since the two Dutch have been associated with the Blaugranas for many months.
However, despite the agreement with the players and the absence of compensation to be paid to Olympique Lyonnais and Liverpool, these two arrivals have not yet been signed. Indeed, Barça has just changed presidency with the appointment of Joan Laporta.
If the latter would have announced to Ronald Koeman that he should continue one more season at the head of the club, the new president has not yet finalized the reorganization of his management and has not yet looked into the next files of transfers.
