Bad news for Lacazette

Arsenal management reportedly told Alexandre Lacazette that they no longer counted on him for next season.

Arsenal no longer seems to rely on their French striker Alexandre Lacazette. The latter signed for € 53million in 2017, but failed to be consistent throughout his time at Emirates Stadium. According to what was disclosed in the Transfer Window Podcast, the Gunners are currently looking to sell it in order to recover cash and then reinvest it in other players.

Arsenal is in a hurry

The same source claims that Lacazette is even the player the club wants to sell as a priority. And for good reason: his contract expires at the end of next season. It is therefore the last possibility to sell it for a sum of money. The problem is that for the moment no club has come forward to sign the former OL scorer. In the past, Barça had considered enlisting him.

Last season, in all competitions, Lacazette scored 17 goals and offered 3 assists. He was the second most decisive player in the team behind Nicolas Pépé.
