French international Houssem Aouar has a clear idea of the club he plans to join this summer.
Houssem Aouar has decided to leave OL during the current offseason. The brilliant midfielder wants to take on a new challenge and he hopes to be able to do so at Arsenal. Contacts have been around with Londoners for ages, and he is desperately waiting for them to materialize their interest with an offer.
Aouar is not Arsenal’s priority
The daily The Sun indicates that the Aouar file is dependent on that of James Maddison. The Leicester City player is said to be the Gunners’ priority. However, the Foxes are demanding € 70m for his services and Arsenal is unlikely to climb that high in their proposal.
Aouar, whose own contract expires in 2023, would cost much less, especially since Lyon would welcome the fact of recovering twenty million euros from a player who is starting to have his head elsewhere and thus have the possibility of offer a last reinforcement by the end of the transfer window.
