Three months after leaving OM, André Villas-Boas changes discipline. The Portuguese will participate in the Rally of Portugal, from May 20 to 23.
After his departure from Olympique de Marseille last February, André Villas-Boas will quickly return to competition… but in another discipline. This Tuesday, on the site of the WRC, the World Rally Championship, it is announced that the 43-year-old technician will take part in the Rally of Portugal, from May 20 to 23.
“One of the competitors to follow, however, could be the pilot of Citroën C3 Rally2 n ° 57: André Villas-Boas, former coach of Porto, Chelsea, Tottenham and Olympique de Marseille, specifies the WRC. A true rally enthusiast, the Portuguese will make his world debut with the Sports and You team ”.
Villas-Boas, automobile fan
The Portuguese, passionate about cars, will therefore drive a Citroën C3 in the WRC3 category. Villas-Boas has never taken part in a World Rally Championship event, but had already participated in an edition of the Dakar in 2018 for the 40th edition of the competition.
