Nigerian club Enyimba announced Tuesday the appointment of Finidi George, former glory of the Super Eagles, as coach.
A former winner of the African Champions League has chosen a former winner of the European Champions League as his coach. Understand: the Nigerian club ofEnyimba announced the arrival on his bench of Finidi George, Ajax Amsterdam winger crowned in 1995 and one of 25 African players to have lifted the Big Ears Cup.
Holder of a UEFA B license, the new coach has signed a two year contract with the club based in Aba (south of the country). The former international will make his debut on the bench during the double confrontation against the Senegalese of Diambars, next month in the Confederation Cup.

Representative of Nigeria’s Golden Generation of the 1990s, Finidi George (50) wore the Super Eagles jersey 62 times and took part in the 1994 and 1998 World Cups. He also played four final stages of the African Cup, with the key a continental coronation in 1994, a second place in 2000 and two third places in 1992 and 2002.
