Juve, Barça, PSG … which club has taken the lead in the race for the signing of Sergio Aguero?
It’s time to decide on the next step for Sergio Agüero. Many clubs have already approached his agent. But according to an indiscretion from transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, “El Kun” wants to take his time and he will decide at the end of the season.
Romano adds that FC Barcelona are considering a move for the Argentine after City announced their all-time top scorer will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season. Inter, Chelsea and PSG have also been linked with the Argentine striker.
It remains to be seen whether the legendary citizen player will succeed in convincing Catalan coach Ronald Koeman. According to some media, the latter would have a marked predilection for Lyon striker Memphis Depay, his Dutch compatriot.
As a reminder, English club Manchester City announced Monday night that their star striker would leave the club at the end of the season.
The Argentinian is out of contract this summer and the Sky Blues have confirmed he will not sign a new lease.
Aguero, who arrived at City from Atletico Madrid in 2011, is sure to attract the interest of a number of big clubs, who are hopeful of welcoming him for free in the next transfer window.
Aguero had hoped to continue with the Eastlands but he has only started five Premier League and Champions League appearances this season after contracting the Covid-19 and also sustaining an injury.
